The Valley Chorale is one of the foremost and longest-established choruses in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. With performances reaching from Winchester in the north to Staunton further south and points in between, The Chorale brings choral music of the highest caliber to audiences across our region. Our select group of some 50 singers range in ability from trained professionals to talented laypersons; all singers are selected by audition.

We perform a repertoire of timeless choral masterworks as well as contemporary sacred and secular compositions and arrangements -- such as vocal jazz, pop, folk and more -- that speak to the power of the human spirit, lifting up our local and regional communities as well as the world around us.

The Valley Chorale is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization supported by public and private funds as well as by philanthropic foundations, corporate sponsors, concert ticket sales and annual singer dues.

The Valley Chorale performs a repertoire that balances innovation and tradition, seeking out new and contemporary composers writing for our time while still embracing the steadfast brilliance of historical works. We specialize in material that engages, inspires and uplifts our audiences while challenging and enriching our ensemble of singers as well as contributing to the cultural life of our region.
